GiveHear Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Charity Auction

The auction opened on Sunday, October 10 and features rare items including a signed US Mens Soccer Game Worn Jersey  signed by DaMarcus Beasley..

GiveHear, a local nonprofit Audiology clinic is celebrating its 10th year of service to the community. To celebrate this milestone, local businesses and individuals have contributed goods and services to be auctioned off in order to provide hearing aids for people in the community who are still waiting for hearing help.

The auction includes a signed US Men’s Soccer Game-Worn Jersey signed by DeMarcus Beasley, restaurant and experience gift cards, and handmade items. The auction can be viewed at https://app.galabid.com/givehear/items.

Over the last ten years, GiveHear has been able to serve more than 3,000 patients, collect and redistribute more than 4,000 donated hearing aids, and give back more than 12,000 hours of service to other nonprofits.

“The work that GiveHear has done in the last 10 years has been essential in ways the community at large may not even realize,” said Matt Rowan, Executive Director of GiveHear. “Early detection and rehabilitation of hearing loss, improve the lives of patients and their families, but it also improves public education, reduces strain on social services, and gives a positive outlook for the community at large.”

Alongside the auction, GiveHear hopes to raise $80,000 to cover the cost of hearing aids and ongoing hearing aid maintenance for patients. Additional details about the celebration are available at GiveHear.org/ten-years.
